Thanks Jen and Linelle for a stunning run this morning!!!
Despite the rain that had bucketed down all night long, and promise of more to come, we headed out for a run (hey, the sun was shining at the time, if it starts raining mid-run we won't melt). We were trying out a new route, and getting in some hill-work after a couple of flat runs. We are the HILLbillies after all! :P

We set off along our usual start, up Dean and along Newlands, but then we turned down the M3 for a bit of a breather (that Dean Street hill seemed much longer than usual, too much flat recently!) Then off up Fernwood (wow, everything is so green and fresh after the rain!) and along Boshoff for a short bit.
Then came the new twists: we headed to Riverside Road and down Kirstenbosch Drive, away from Kirstenbosch!! It felt strange running the wrong way up those roads!! New territory, we headed along Bishopscourt Drive, putting the M3 and its traffic behind us for a while, and took in the beautiful gardens and huge houses around us. We looped up Chester and down Norwich, up Hillwood and down the M3 a ways before ducking back into suburbia to escape the noisy, stinky traffic.

Eventually we had to come back to reality and cross the M3, but then we ducked right back into the back-streets and meandered our back towards Great Westerford. I was enjoying the run so much I just wanted to keep going, but alas, duty calls and we all had to get back to work. I felt like I could've run that route another 2 or 3 times at least!! It was just one of those days when I want to run and run and run some more!!
