Thanks Hillbillies for a great run this morning, and thanks especially to Dy for leading us along a scenic new route. Nice and flat, the perfect recovery run from a tough 30K on Sunday (you can see some pics on our Facebook group, courtesy of Josh)

We started of heading down Main Road towards the cricket grounds and over Campground into Keurboom. From there we detoured through Keurboom Park - it was the perfect morning for a little off-road! Out of the park and sports grounds, we meandered through the quiet suburbian streets for a while before seeing the Rondebosch Common just ahead and the water-stop at Shell. From there we followed the Liesbeek River Trail back to Great Westerford, but decided that we weren't quite done running yet with barely 9km under our feet, so off we went again, under the railway subway and out at the cricket grounds once again.

This time we headed through the suburbs and onto Palmyra Road, aiming to take the 'scenic' route back over Stanhope bridge and wind along the quieter streets behind Cavendish. So we got in some minor 'speed-bump work' (in the absence of any real hills along this route) going up and over Stanhope, and over to Kildare Road, from where we had a lovely flat dash back to Great Westerford.

Not-quite-12km later we were back and feeling refreshed and ready to face this second day of the working week.

Join me on Thursday for a 10-ish km run, 6am in front of Great Westerford.
